Recently, Kofi and Dr. Vibe™ spoke with S-Quire Johnson – Executive Director – ANKOBEA Fatherhood Initiative (The Fatherhood Initiative) about Black fatherhood.
S-Quire Johnson (he/they pronouns) is a community influencer who has been developing and implementing social justice focused programs and initiatives within community agencies, for-profit businesses and educational institutions since 2012.
S-Quire is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the ANKOBEA Fatherhood Initiative, a family service initiative that supports African/Caribbean/Black (ACB) children, families and communities by providing resources, mentoring services and advocacy supports to fathers who often feel marginalized and unsupported.
He is also a digital media creator that has brought his passion for highlighting stories of social and cultural identity to his work for over 10 years. As a videographer and video editor, S-Quire has produced content for such cultural staples as Caribbean Vibrations TV, TD Jerk Festival Toronto and the CaribbeanTales Film Festival.
