Welcome to BLKMEN CAN TALK, a show where Black Canadian men come together to have real, unfiltered conversations about life, culture, and community.
Your hosts are Paul Osbourne, Kofi Morris and Dr. Vibe™.
On a recent show, our guest was Ebere Nnorom.
The conversation initially touches on the hosts’ careers, including Dr. Vibe™’s extensive reach in supporting dads, fathers, and male caregivers, and quickly transitions into a deep discussion about personal wins, the game of life being more important than sports, and the value of strong relationships. A key theme emerges through Kabir’s personal narrative, revealing a family legacy of community work and education, which prompts a profound examination of the challenges and importance of safe, unapologetic male spaces for young Black men. The dialogue concludes with a thought-provoking exchange on the nature of empowerment, the role of media representation and policy, and the critical need to break the stigma around male vulnerability within the community.
Ebere is a community Worker, mentor, and advocate with over 10 years of experience supporting under-serviced communities, especially Black male youth. He helps individuals discover their purpose through coaching, access to resources, and community support.
He’s also the founder of a successful Montreal-based eSports community and cohost of Black Nerd Talks, a podcast exploring video games, anime, and comics through the lens of Black masculinities. Ebere brings powerful insights on identity, culture, and empowerment to every conversation.
