One year ago, The Dr. Vibe Show and Techbook Online launched Black And Bold Voices™, a quarterly, online town hall featuring black men from around the world and the issues that unite them.
To celebrate this milestone, Dr. Vibe and Techbook Online’s CEO, Mr. Christopher “Flood the Drummer” Norris discussed The State Of Black Media featuring insight from Mr. Johann Calhoun, the news and special project editor at The Philadelphia Tribune, America’s oldest continuously published black newspaper.
Black And Bold Voices™, a quarterly, online town hall featuring black men around the world and the issues that unite them, is a collaboration between The Dr. Vibe Show, a podcast for black men and those that love them, and Techbook Online, a news event company that launched a campaign to improve media coverage and public perception of black men and boys.
During the show:
– Dr. Vibe and Chris talk about how Black And Bold Voices™ started and some of great moments
– Dr. Vibe and Chris give some thoughts about the state of Black media
– Johann Calhoun, (National Association of Black Journalists (regional one director as of August 2015, thoughts on the state of Black media and his advice for Blacks who want to get involved in jounalism and media entities online
