Black Canada Talking™ is a live online event that provides Black Canadians opportunity to give their takes and POVs on stories that are of importance to them.
On a recent episode of Black Canada Talking™, our guest was Cesar Ndema-Moussa.
During our conversation, Cesar talked about:
Why aren’t Blacks on Carney’s Diversity and Inclusion Council?
Cesar and Dr. Vibe™ debate why the Carney government’s diversity and inclusion council initially lacked Black representation. Cesar emphasizes the need for the Black community to act as a stronger, more unified lobby and interest group to ensure representation at the tables of power.
Montreal Shooting: Whiteness, Masculism, Immigration and Racism
Cesar provides his perspective on the recent shooting in Montreal, framing the violence within the contexts of whiteness, masculinism, racism, and the incel ideology. He calls for a deeper examination of how societal pressures and changing demographics contribute to such extremist acts.
Pride Month in Africa: Black LGBTQ+ Under Attack?
The final segment addresses Pride Month in Africa and the challenges faced by the Black LGBTQ+ community. Cesar argues that homophobia is not indigenous to Africa but has been influenced by external religious ideologies, urging a move away from divisive, non-African frameworks.
