VP of Content and Partnerships, Libsyn (LSYN), current Founding Board of Governor Member and Former Chairperson of The Podcast Academy and is a well-known evangelist of the podcasting industry and was inducted into the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame in 2017. Formerly served as VP, Podcaster Relations at Voxnext’s Spreaker and Head of Partnerships and Head of Content.
Rob has a long and storied history on nationally syndicated terrestrial broadcast radio starting in 1999, then webcast and podcast. WebTalk World Radio Show was heard on XM satellite radio and is recognized as the first broadcast radio program in the world to begin podcasting on Sept 15th, 2004.
He also worked as EVP/CTO at PodcastOne.com, Business / Content Manager of Podcasts at Microsoft Zune and Xbox Live Marketplace on Windows Phone/Zune/Windows Media Center, and in 2005 was Global Content and Marketing Manager at Melodeo Mobilcast. He currently co-hosts the New Media Show, a twice-weekly audio and video podcast that streams LIVE Video on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch every Saturday at 9 a.m. PST/Noon EST and Wednesday at Noon PST/3 p.m. EST. He is on the Editorial board for Podcast Business Journal.
Rob has presented at podcasting and radio conference events all over the world on the subject of podcasting and New Media, including NAB Show, Podcast Movement, RAIN Summits, Nielsen Audio Partner Conference, New Media and Podcast Expo, Blog World Expo, Streaming Media Conference, Concave Conference, GEN Summit and many more.
Rob received his BBA with a Concentration in Marketing from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington State.
